Prolog information
With the Display Mode feature, users can personalize the phone display according to their phone display and font color preference. You can configure a default display mode for the users, and allow or restrict them from changing the mode. Avaya J100 Series IP Phones offer four display modes: Dark, Light, Forced Dark, and Forced Light.
You can select Forced Light or Forced Dark to enforce the phone display mode so the users cannot change it from the phone. The users can change the mode if you select Light or Dark. For example, the users can change the display mode from Dark to Light if you set it to Dark. If you set the settings to Forced Dark, the users cannot see the options to change the display mode from Dark to Light.
The text color is black when the display mode is Light.
Changing the display mode impacts most of the skins, including the following:
  • Soft keys
  • The top-line divider
  • Calendar components
  • Predefined backgrounds and screen savers
  • Line highlights
  • Skins for dialogs and toasts and scroll bars
  • The progress bar
Changing the display mode for the main screen changes the display mode for the secondary screen and the attached expansion modules.
