Setting event logging

Prolog information
Use the following procedure to enable or disable logging of system events.
  1. Press Main MenuAdministration.
  2. In the Access code field, enter the admin menu password.
  3. Press Enter.
  4. Select Log.
  5. Use the Right and Left Arrow keys to select one of the following values for the Log Level setting associated with the corresponding SYSLOG_LEVEL:
    • Emergencies: SYSLOG_LEVEL=0
    • Alerts: SYSLOG_LEVEL=1
    • Critical: SYSLOG_LEVEL=2
    • Errors: SYSLOG_LEVEL=3
    • Warnings: SYSLOG_LEVEL=4
    • Notices: SYSLOG_LEVEL=5
    • Information: SYSLOG_LEVEL=6
    • Debug: SYSLOG_LEVEL=7
  6. Scroll to Log categories and press Select.
  7. Press Toggle and select the required Log Categories for the troubleshooting scenario.
  8. Scroll to Remote logging enabled and press Toggle to select.
  9. Scroll to Remote log server and enter the IP address or FQDN.
  10. Scroll to Secure syslog and press Toggle to select a secure or non-secure syslog mode.
  11. Press Save.
