Prolog information
You can use the 46xxsettings.txt file or the phone web interface to configure the date, time, and daylight saving details.
Configure the parameters GMTOFFSET, DAYLIGHT_SAVING_SETTING_MODE, DSTOFFSET, DSTSTART, and DSTSTOP to make the required settings.
You can use the parameter TIMEZONE to select the time zone location for Avaya J139 IP Phone, Avaya J159 IP Phone, Avaya J169/J179 IP Phone, and Avaya J189 IP Phone, from the software version 4.1.0 and later. Enable the parameter ENABLE_TIMEZONE before you configure the TIMEZONE parameter.
You can use the 46xxsettings.txt file, the phone web interface, or the Personal Profile Manager (PPM) to configure the parameters ENABLE_TIMEZONE and TIMEZONE.
For more information about PPM, see Avaya Aura® Session Manager Overview and Specification.
Based on your time zone selection, the phone automatically obtains the details for the GMT Offset, Daylight saving mode, DST Offset, and DST start and stop information from the IANA database.
When you configure the parameter TIMEZONE, the phone ignores GMTOFFSET, DAYLIGHT_SAVING_SETTING_MODE, DSTOFFSET, DSTSTART, and DSTSTOP parameter values.
