Prolog information
In the Avaya Aura® Call Center Elite and the Unified Communications Module environment, the Send-NN feature overrides the original caller ID of a phone with a caller ID configured for Send-NN calls.
You can use Avaya Aura® System Manager to configure the Send-NN feature. To configure Send-NN, you must specify the mode and map the extension number to be displayed. You can map the extension with another phone extension, a hunt-group extension, or a Vector Directory Number (VDN). The mapped number is the caller ID on the recipient's phone.
The Send-NN feature is assigned to a line key on the phone.
For more information about configuring the feature, see the Avaya Aura® System Manager documentation.
Note:
Avaya J129 IP Phone does not support this feature.
You can configure Send-NN in the following two modes:
  • Transient: The user must press the Send-NN feature line key for every Send-NN call. When the user presses the feature line key, the green LED is on for 2 seconds and then turns off.
  • Permanent: The user must press the Send-NN feature line key to activate the Send-NN feature. All the calls made when the feature is active are Send-NN calls. To deactivate the feature, the user must press the feature line key.
The green LED is on when the Send-NN feature is active.
You can configure multiple Send-NN feature lines for a user. You cannot configure two different line keys with the same extension number, even if one is transient and one is permanent.
The Send-NN feature line on the phone display is in the NN <XXXXXXX T> format, where NN is the feature code, XXXXXXX is the configured extension, and T or P indicates whether the feature is in transient mode or permanent mode, respectively.
