Prolog information
You can configure the phone to display caller ID validation status with the STIR/SHAKEN framework to prevent caller ID spoofing. Users can see the caller ID validation status of an incoming call to verify whether they can trust the source of the call. When a user receives an incoming private or bridged call, the phone displays validation status information. The validation statuses are the following:
  • Passed: Successfully validated caller indication.
  • Failed: Failed caller indication.
  • Unknown: Unverified call indication.
You can configure whether the phone displays caller ID validation information. You can do the following:
  • Disable: The phone does not display caller ID verification information.
  • Enable: The phone displays the Passed, Failed, and Unknown caller ID verification statuses.
  • Suppress the Unknown caller ID verification status: The phone only displays the Passed and Failed caller ID verification statuses.
To configure the feature, use the 46xxsettings.txt file or the phone web interface.
