With the Busy Indicator feature, users can view the status of the other user. The icon next to the Busy Indicator line key and the line key LED indicate the status of the monitored user is idle or busy. Users can monitor the icons and LED status to make calls, transfer calls, and make conference calls with the monitored user.
You can configure the Busy Indicator on Avaya Aura® System Manager.
You can customize the Busy Indicator key labels using the Phone keys customization menu. You can use the Pre-configuration of keys feature to relabel the Busy Indicator line keys and set them to a specific line in a line key location.
You can configure the Busy Indicator line key to display either the customized label followed by the extension number or only the customized label. Use one of the following methods to configure the Busy Indicator Display Mode:
  • The web interface
  • 46xxsettings.txt file
  • Avaya Aura® Device Services (AADS) server
Note:
If you do not customize the Busy Indicator label, Busy Indicator line key displays Busy followed by the extension number.
