With the Intercom feature, a user can call another user in a predefined intercom group. For the Intercom calls, you can configure Dial and Auto intercom features.
  • Dial intercom: Users can call anyone in the same intercom group. You must configure the intercom group and the digit codes for the required extensions.
  • Auto intercom: Users can call one predefined number in the same intercom group. You must configure the destination extension number.
Avaya J129 IP Phone does not support Auto intercom feature to make an outgoing call. If you configure the Intercom feature for this phone, the user can accept an auto intercom incoming call.
Configure the intercom groups, the extension codes, and the destination extension number using Avaya Aura® Communication Manager R10.1 2 and later.
