Configuring contacts search mode using web interface

When you configure the contacts search mode for the user, you enable the user to select between basic or advanced mode. You can set the search mode to forced and restrict the user to search either with basic or advanced search mode.
PREREQUISITE
Ensure that you have configured the AADS contact URL.
  1. Log in to the web interface.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Settings.
  3. Expand the Contacts tab.
  4. From the Contacts Search Mode, select one of the following:
    • Basic (Default): You can enable the user to search with the name or the extension number of the contact.
    • Advanced: You can enable the user with Advanced search to search for a contact with additional details such as the name or the extension number, location, and department of the contact.
    • Forced Basic: You can enable the user to search for the contact with the Basic mode and restrict to search with Advanced search mode.
    • Forced Advanced: You can enable the user to search for the contact with Advance mode and restrict to search with Basic search mode.
  5. Click Save.
