The voicemail feature is used to receive a voice message when user presses the Message button on the phone. Pressing the Message button asks for the voicemail number, which connects you to the voice mail system installed on the device.
You can use the MSGNUM parameter in 46xxsettings.txt file to configure the voicemail number. When there is a failover from Avaya Aura environment to non-Avaya server, use PSTN_VM_NUM parameter to configure the voicemail number.
Refer to Avaya Aura® System Manager for specifying the voicemail number in the corresponding field before installing the phone.
Note:
If you set two different values for the same parameter through Personal Profile Manager (PPM) and the 46xxsettings.txt file, the PPM settings override the settings in the 46xxsettings.txt file.
