Automatic Callback

Prolog information
With the Automatic Callback feature, when a user calls an extension that is currently unavailable, a callback is automatically initiated after the extension becomes available.
The user can perform the following call types:
  • Outgoing calls
  • Transfer calls
  • Conference calls
If any of the above calls fail because the extension is busy, unanswered, or unreachable, the user can press the AutoCbck soft key from the phone screen. The phone monitors the status of the extension called. When the extension becomes available, the phone places a callback to the original user.
To configure the feature, use the 46xxsettings.txt file or through the web interface.
You can configure the Auto Callback soft keys for outgoing, transfer, and conference calls using Soft key configuration settings.
Note:
You cannot configure Auto Callback custom soft keys on the Avaya J129 IP Phone.
The phone displays the default AutoCbck soft key on the phone screen only when you disable the override soft key parameters for outgoing, transfer, and conference calls.
This feature must be activated on the Avaya Aura® Communication Manager.
